Live Video Viewings: See Your Belfast Room Before You Pay

Booking a room in a city you have never visited, in a country you have never lived in, is a leap of faith. A live video viewing turns that leap into an informed decision — and we think it should be standard practice for every international student.

What a live video viewing is

Instead of relying on marketing photos, a Belfast-based advisor visits the property and walks it live on a video call with you: the room type, the kitchen, the common areas, the street outside. You watch in real time, ask questions, and see the honest state of the building — not just the best angle.

How it works with RAJ

1. Pick a property on our Belfast listings and press Request Video Viewing, or tell us on WhatsApp.
2. We confirm property access and the provider's permission, then agree a time that works with your time zone.
3. You join a video call — and your parents are very welcome to join too, from anywhere in the world.
4. Ask everything: noise, heating, laundry, what the area feels like at night.

One honest note: live viewings depend on property access, availability and the accommodation provider's permission. Some properties or room types may only have a show room, prerecorded media, or no physical viewing access at the requested time — we will always tell you which applies.

Why parents love it

For families, the video call is often the moment the decision becomes comfortable: you see the building, meet a real local person who will be there after arrival, and understand exactly who gets paid for what. Students pay rent, deposits and accommodation charges directly to the official provider — never to us — and we are happy to explain that process on the call.

Before any payment

Our simple rule: see it before you pay for it, wherever access allows. It costs nothing, it takes half an hour, and it removes almost every nasty surprise students report about booking from abroad. Request your video viewing here.
